ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Centre, Glasgow
Many of the issues that affect us across the lifespan, even into adulthood, have their origin in childhood. Children who suffer difficult early experiences, such as illness, neurodevelopmental problems, neglect or abuse can develop mental health problems that can burden them throughout their lives, holding them back in social development, family life, education, the work place, and even their physical health. Our research, clinical work and teaching aims to understand and address this. The team is closely allied to the Gillberg Neuropsychiatry Centre.

ADAPT Scotland is an organisation that offers bespoke parenting and therapeutic support programmes to adoptive and foster parents who are caring for traumatised children. Their website provides many free articles and podcasts.

Adoption & Fostering Alliance Scotland (AFA) is a newly formed independent service providing a range of training and consultancy to all professionals connected to adoption and fostering throughout Scotland. They offer a range of direct support to agencies and practitioners within the social work, legal and medical professions and to individuals directly involved in adoption and fostering.

Beacon House provide 
a wide range of mental health assessments and effective therapies for children and young people, families and adults in the Chichester area. Their free online resources on attachment and developmental trauma are highly recommended.

BraveHeart Education helps and supports those working with vulnerable children – whether they are looked after, adopted or in challenging home environments. Founder Nicola Marshall is the author of The Teacher’s Introduction to Attachment.

Juniper Tree Therapies is

​Post Adoption Central Support (PACS) provides post placement support services to adoptive families in the Central Belt of Scotland. PACS have produced and distribute the renowned booklets ‘Adoption, Attachment Issues and Your School’, 'Stop Wasting My Time' and 'Go Away People!'.

Scottish Adoption is a national organisation delivering adoption services in Scotland. At present the bulk of their services are delivered across Edinburgh & the Lothians.

Scottish Attachment In Action (SAIA) is an interest, campaigning, learning and development charitable organisation, committed to promoting better experiences of attachment in the Scottish population in order to effect positive changes in policy and practice in education, care and health. SAIA offers a wide range of free resources for parents, carers and professionals. They host regular networking events across Scotland.

Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is the only organisation dedicated to supporting to childminders in Scotland. Their vision is building confident children within a family childcare experience.

Suzanne Zeedyk is a research scientist fascinated by babies innate capacity to connect. Founder of Connected Baby, her and her team work to help parents and professionals make practical use of the science of connection. TouchBase  
Attachment Aware and Trauma Responsive (AATR) interventions for children, families and schools.  A team of specialist, strategic Attachment Lead teachers and therapists who have extensive experience and expertise in relational trauma and loss.  All  work is underpinned by the theories of child development, attachment, intersubjectivity and neuroscience. They use Theraplay®, PACE, DDP and sensory interventions in their practice. Their current practice informs all of their support, created courses and published works.
